Hardware purchase?

Interesting initiatives:

  • Dell: Sputnik (Ubuntu on a Dell XPS13).
  • ZaReason Linux Laptops, Desktops, Servers running GNU/Linux, Android.
  • system76

Anyone know of any more ? (hardware without non-libre software, or at least moving in that direction)?

One aspect of being libre is to use libre software.

Ubuntu 11.10 (“Oneiric Ocelot”) has just been released for download.

I made some rough notes on what I typically do when this happens:

Feel free to take ideas from these notes and work them into a proper
tutorial for installing this great libre (also gratis) operating
system.
